Last Saturday, I bought a S+W Governor from Gander Mountain. Went to the Amarillo Gun Show, and there was only one there for $700. The dealer would not come down any on the price. Gander had them advertised for $649. They got two in, gone in a day and a half. Got two more in, so I got one. They are allocated by S+W. Action is smooth and crisp. The new NRA magazine has a decent write up about them. Just thought I would pass this along. Charlie

I wonder how it would pattern on ditch tigers from the truck window. Before they kill all my game birds.

So Taurus has the Judge and Smith has the Governor. Ruger is coming out with the Congressman shortly. Only problem is is doesn't work and you can't fire it!

    Couldn't resist!

And another new one, called the President. No one knows where it came from, and it makes claims it cannot fulfill. And it costs even more after you acquire it.

Myself, and a couple of buddies today shot my Governor, 410's only, and the diamondbacks at the ranch are in trouble. This gun is nice. Recoil not to bad. Will shoot some 45 Colts tomorrow, and see what they are like. So far,--so nice. Charlie

I wish Remington still made their .45 ACP snake shot load. It was stuffed with #12 shot and just saturated snakes with lead. And it cycled my SIG/Sauer P-220. The CCI loads would not cycle and had serious holes in the pattern.

Ditch tigers are FERAL cats. Not to be confused with house cats because house cats stay in the house if they have a responsible owner. Now you can all howl about whether feral cats should be killed on sight or if they're just minding their own business like coyotes do.
BTW the only good thing about yotes is they reduce feral cat populations half as fast as cats reduce game bird populations. If song dogs could climb trees, there'd still be pheasants and quail in Iowa.

S&W must have been unaware of things in IL when they chose the name "Governor"...here, Judges put Governors in jail, at least four times in the last thirty years or so.
