1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

What is the used value of a S&W 686 with 2" barrel (.357 mag-stainless steel? I would rate the gun in "near mint" condition. It is in the original blue plastic case with all factory paperwork and the fired casing. The gun has been shot very little- maybe 100 rounds at most.

I am looking to buy the gun from a friend and neither one of us has any idea of its value. He is the original owner and has had the gun put away for quite some time.

Thanks in advanc for your help.

According to my FFL a new one is about $605 wholesale unless it is the 7 shot version which is a little more.

Unless there is something specifically special about it (not sure if 2" barrel is rare), I would say $500 is a fair number.
