S&W 686 2 1/2 barrel

    What is a gun like this work. It has some handling marks on the gun, functions fine. Cant find much on these. Thanks.

    In most shops that gun would sell for about $400.00-

    Depends on condition, the 2 1/2 snub bring more bucks than the 4 & 6 in models.
    $400.00 would be a steal if it is in good of conditon. Great guns. Check if it is the older style with the firing pin on the hammer or the newer style with the pin mounted in the frame. I prefer the older style. Colonel

    It's the six shot and it does have the firing pin on the hammer.

    It's not a junker but it does have a few marks on the gun. Wood grips are fine but there are a couple marks on the stainless. Nothing severe. Thanks guys...

    Check timing of cylinder, 357 is hard on the cylinder hands.

    The biggest advantage of 686 is 7 shot cylinder. It makes approx. a $75~100 different.
