I just bought (cheap) a Charles Daly Field gun, over/under, Mod/Mod. The previous owner put it away wet & the barrel has rust spots on the exterior.
after cleaning it, the interior of the barrels are perfect. The action is tight, there are no marks on the wood. The barrels are damaged enough to need re-blueing. The gun is a Spanish made model, 28", 12ga, 3"shells. Is it worth it? Should I look for new barrels or? What is a reasonable cost to re-blue a over-under?

Paint it black (or camo) with Gun-Kote.

Ask around your club for a local gunsmith or someone that has a bluing setup, you`ll save on shipping at least. If you bought it right, you can flip it at a gunshow, alot of guys can see potential in an item because they know where to get work done for free or on the cheap,or do it themselves.

Buy some cold gun blueing, steel wool off the rust and then apply , read direction on bottle, it should come out looking pretty good.
