I have a rules question based on an occurrance on the range today.

If a defective target (btoken bird) is thrown and is fired at by the shooter before "no bird" is called, is it considered a legitimate shot? This happened today on the range and the shooter insisted that he get another target. I always thought that if you shoot at it, its a target.

    What do the rules say?

    Thanks,
    Rich

Hit or miss you have to reshoot the target.

The wording in the on line rulebook on page 31 "E. NO TARGET 2. In single target events when the target is thrown broken, regardless of the result of any shot fired."

Follow the link in the web address line to the on line rulebook.
