I took apart a fellow shooters red label and found a broken part. Only installable thru the factory sigh.

Ruger told me to send in the whole gun and they would look at it.

Grudgingly I spent $18 to send it to them. A week later I got it back. They basically replaced the guts of the gun and tightened it up... 200,000 rounds and they did it FREE...

    DAMN...

I'm not a big fan of Ruger shotguns. That being said, I do own a 20g o/u of theirs with 30" barrels and it is very easy to shoot. Don't care much for the triggers or the internal finish of the gun, but it does shoot where I look. I have had mine back to the factory twice in the many years and rounds I have had it. Turn around was super and gun was returned as new internally each time. Great service.

Several years ago I sent one of my customer Ruger number one back to the factory for repairs. I was tearing the bases off the shells on new shells. A few months later the gun was returned to me. When I went over the repair list I thought my customer was going to have a heart attack, that is until I got down to the bottom of the list. The total bill was NO CHARGE.

    That's why I've always never overlooked Ruger's.

I've only had to send a few back, after local gunsmiths couldn't fix the problem.

All came back "No Charge" and gone Completely through and replacement of any questionable part!!

Ruger's are the "rifleman's rifle" not Show and tell pieces! Pre-Garica Sako's are the next best thing to Ruger's.

Let the arguing begin, but that's my two cents.

Hard to believe you would, "Grudgingly I spent $18 to send it to them." They are the best for service and standing behind their product.

Typical Ruger service, hard to equal. If only they still made their Trap Gun.
