Can someone please Tell me why some Trap shooters are so nice and then you have others who are down right ignorant. I started shooting at three different clubs. Two of them are some of the friendliest people but this third one the people are just ignorant. They see you are new and won't even say hello and when you do say hello they seem to want to just get it over with and go about their business. Today I was struggling with hitting the target, after the round was over I said to one guy I had finely figured out what I was doing wrong and before I could say another word this guy says to me yea you need to drop 75 pounds and push your self back from the table like he had room to talk and when he saw I didn't appreciate the comment he tried to play it off and started telling other people the same thing and that he didn't mean to hurt any one. Am I being to thin skinned or is this just rude shooters?

There are a few of them everywhere. Thankfully they are in the minority.

Every club has some rude shooters. They drive more potential shooters from the sport than anything else. I have found that the best way to get even with rude shooters is to get good and beat their butts at their game. Nothing better in shooting than kicking someone's butt at shooting that was rude to you when you were starting. It shuts their rude mouths for good. It is especially rewarding if you are doing it with a cheap gun they put down too.

Sometimes it not just the shooters. I've been to a club or two where the shooters are friendly as all get out and the management is rude. Its a strange world.

Feller, in Trap, if it ain't a PERAZZI it ain't worth having, GEEEEZZZZ, have I heard that a gillion times.

And yes is is good to smack a PERAZZI with a win from my ole worthless 391, that is part of what keeps me shooting this game.

Bakergun, keep going to the clubs and all will work out, I have seen and heard what you are saying numerous times. Just be steady and most people will come around once they know you are serious about the sport.

Baker. Speak your mind, get to the point with the rude SOB. Some rude people are too dumb to even know they offend someone. I always let them know that their behavior is not acceptable. Acting this way may or may not make you feel better. It serves three purposes for me - Lets them know they are a jack#$$, they might think twice about insulting someone else and you won't have to worry about conversing with them again.

bakergun I would dwell on it what goes around come around if you keep your ears open and are be patient. While you are getting better you will get your opportunity for payback.

Just to remember to smile every time you zap his butt. Also don't fail to let him know you think he should drop at least 75 pounds especially the first time you kick his rear bumper.

    BTW you asked:

"Tell me why some Trap shooters are so nice and then you have others who are down right ignorant."

Pete you used the wrong word he isn't ignorant. He is stupid and as said above you can't fix stupid.

Maybe he is awkward talking to you as you are to him.

Or maybe you are to sensitive to be out in public. Come on loosen up and have some fun, ignore him and walk away.

Some people are just rude, no way around it. I have run into the same thing in the dog trial world. There is absolutely nothing better than beating someone else's dog after they ran yours down. I have known people like that and most have been rude their entire life. Occasionally someone pounds their face in. While this can be rewarding it usually doesn't fix them. Like someone above said, they are usually stupid as well as rude. One thing you know is that wherever they go in life they are stuck being with a rude idiot all the time. They are usually miserable people with few friends.

He was facetiously trying to clue you in to the fact that you're too light for this sport. At many clubs anyone who can still see their shoes is considered a Sissy-Boy. Fatten-up a little more and you'll fit right in :)

Yes, but if you fatten up too much you tend to P** on your shoes and you never even know it. If you see a fat person waling around just look at his shoes:=)) the beav
