Went out Saturday to see the new million dollar shooting center. It's run by the Indiana DNR, and got some funding from the U.S. Fish and Wildlife service.

Well I was impressed. 33 pistol and rifle ranges, 2 combination skeet and trap fields, with Pat Traps. Archery range, restrooms, drinking fountains, lots of parking, and all of this is new. Skeet and trap is 27 birds for a $5.00 token, rifle and pistol range is $4.00 all day!! This is a great deal if you are in NE Indiana.

Nice idea with the big storage right on the skeet houses. Nice seeing a new shooting facility in these times.

something like the range they put in at Atterbury , I use Atterbury alot in the summer for practice most of the time on tue. and thur. as the serious trapshooters have it to themselves. wk. ends I stay away as what they refer to as rabbit thumbers show up , they have no idea what they are doin but they have fun..

Can you show up and shoot as many doubles as you want, any time they are open?

    CM

The link above takes you to the lake info. This is a limited amount of info on the range.

    Setterman....365 E. Division Rd. Huntington, IN. 46750 260-468-2165

Claymuncher.......You can shoot as many targets as you want. A $5.00 token gets you 27 birds. You can buy as many coins as you want. I didn't ask if the machines could be set for doubles, but they are new Pat Traps. Should be no problem switching them to doubles. They are using Briley coin machines. Click on activities fron the above link. There is more info searching google. Give them a call.

Lou...That wouldn't bring me back. LOL. I just happen to be here.

What is the Roush connection...as in Jack Roush? Or is that just coincidence?

    -Aaron

EDIT- Just read that it is located on Roush lake...nevermind, I got all excited:)

Sorry Aaron, it should have been Roush Lake Shooting Range, formerly the Huntington Reservoir. J.Edward Roush was a past Congressman from Huntington, IN. I like the Jack Roush idea.

No Wayne, I would never move back. We have very little humidity here and mild winters
