What is the rosin many trap shooters apply to their face before shooting? I think I've seen it in a stick-type applicator (like deodorant) sometimes. What purpose does it serve. Who carries it. More info. please.

    Thanks,

    Jon Reitz

If you're looking for something to reduce the friction between the cheek and the stock I'd recommend a product called "Body Glide". As a runner, I've been using it for years to prevent chafing and blisters... everywhere. It's non petroleum and non oily and it moisturizes. The same company has introduced a similar product that contains a sunscreen as well. Available anyplace runners buy their gear. Link to one above.

Like Carol Lister, I use Body Glide. It is a bit expensive ($9.00 a tube) but it certainly works well. One tube will last a long time.

The Remington Shaving powder stick is available from Walmart, CVS, Walgreens, etc. About $6. Good stuff, seems I've always had one in the shooting bag. Tried talcum powder but it's a bit messy.
