    Rose points 5, 4, 3, 2, 1 means the top 5 scores will be rewarded not just the shooter. Top shooter scores 5 points, the next 4 points, etc.

    Example;

    14 shooters enter the Rose Point purse @ $10.00 each = $140.00 in purse (14 x 10). Shooters in the purse' score's are then tallied to figure the total points.

    High scores are 97, 95, 94, 92, & 90.

    High score______= 97 = (1 shooter x 5 points) = 5 points

    Next high score = 95 = (2 shooters x 4 points) = 8 points

    Next high score = 94 = (3 shooters x 3 points) = 9 points

    Next high score = 92 = (4 shooters x 2 points) = 8 points

    Next high score = 90 = (5 shooters x 1 point ) = 5 points

    Total all the points earned 5+8+9+8+5 = 35 total points. Then divide the total purse ($140.00) by the total number of points (35) and get 140/35 = $4 per Rose point. This means that the Rose point purse is worth $4.00 times points earned.

    So . . .

    97 = 5 points x $4 Rose = $20.00

    95 = 8 points x $4 Rose = $32.00 / 2 shooter's or $16.00 each

    94 = 9 points x $4 Rose = $36.00 / 3 shooter's or $12.00 each

    92 = 8 points x $4 Rose = $32.00 / 4 shooters or $8.00 each

    90 = 5 points x $4 Rose = $20.00 / 5 shooters or $ 4.00 each

    It's not as complicated as my example above. Usually the points in a program are in multiple of two as in 7, 5, 3, 1 Rose points or 9, 7, 5, 3, 1 Rose points.
