For such a "crazy" old guy he makes a lot of sense.

Quotes Of The Day - Ron Paul Edition

“Ideas are very important to the shaping of society. In fact, they are more powerful than bombings or armies or guns. And this is because ideas are capable of spreading without limit. They are behind all the choices we make. They can transform the world in a way that governments and armies cannot. Fighting for liberty with ideas makes more sense to me than fighting with guns or politics or political power. With ideas, we can make real change that lasts.”

    - Ron Paul, Liberty Defined: The 50 Urgent Issues That Affect Our Freedom

“Under the United States Constitution, the federal government has no authority to hold states “accountable” for their education performance…In the free society envisioned by the founders, schools are held accountable to parents, not federal bureaucrats.”

    - Ron Paul

“I’m convinced that you never have to give up liberties to be safe. I think you’re less safe when you give up your liberties.”

    - Ron Paul

“Freedom is not defined by safety. Freedom is defined by the ability of citizens to live without government interference. Government cannot create a world without risks, nor would we really wish to live in such a fictional place. Only a totalitarian society would even claim absolute safety as a worthy ideal, because it would require total state control over its citizens’ lives. Liberty has meaning only if we still believe in it when terrible things happen and a false government security blanket beckons.”

    - Ron Paul

“Truth is treason in the empire of lies.”

    - Ron Paul, The Revolution: A Manifesto

“Mr. Speaker, I once again find myself compelled to vote against the annual budget resolution for a very simple reason: it makes government bigger.”

    - Ron Paul

“The most basic principle to being a free American is the notion that we as individuals are responsible for our own lives and decisions. We do not have the right to rob our neighbors to make up for our mistakes, neither does our neighbor have any right to tell us how to live, so long as we aren’t infringing on their rights. Freedom to make bad decisions is inherent in the freedom to make good ones. If we are only free to make good decisions, we are not really free.”

    - Ron Paul

“Liberty is lost through complacency and a subservient mindset. When we accept or even welcome automobile checkpoints, random searches, mandatory identification cards, and paramilitary police in our streets, we have lost a vital part of our American heritage. America was born of protest, revolution, and mistrust of government. Subservient societies neither maintain nor deserve freedom for long.”

    - Ron Paul

“Failure of government programs prompts more determined effort, while the loss of liberty is ignored or rationalized away…whether is it is the war on poverty, drugs, terrorism…or the current Hitler of the day, an appeal to patriotism is used to convince the people that a little sacrifice of liberty, here or there, is a small price to pay…The results, though, are frightening and will soon become even more so.”

    - Ron Paul

“When the federal government spends more each year than it collects in tax revenues, it has three choices: It can raise taxes, print money, or borrow money. While these actions may benefit politicians, all three options are bad for average Americans.”

    - Ron Paul

“A system of capitalism presumes sound money, not fiat money manipulated by a central bank. Capitalism cherishes voluntary contracts and interest rates that are determined by savings, not credit creation by a central bank.”

    - Ron Paul

“Let it not be said that no one cared, that no one objected once it’s realized that our liberties and wealth are in jeopardy.”

    - Ron Paul

“The original American patriots were those individuals brave enough to resist with force the oppressive power of King George…Patriotism is more closely linked to dissent than it is to conformity and a blind desire for safety and security.”

    - Ron Paul

“As many frustrated Americans who have joined the Tea Party realize, we cannot stand against big government at home while supporting it abroad. We cannot talk about fiscal responsibility while spending trillions on occupying and bullying the rest of the world. We cannot talk about the budget deficit and spiraling domestic spending without looking at the costs of maintaining an American empire of more than 700 military bases in more than 120 foreign countries. We cannot pat ourselves on the back for cutting a few thousand dollars from a nature preserve or an inner-city swimming pool at home while turning a blind eye to a Pentagon budget that nearly equals those of the rest of the world combined.”

    - Ron Paul

“It is no coincidence that the century of total war coincided with the century of central banking.”

    - Ron Paul, End the Fed

“A citizen walking through the airport today is bombarded with 1984-style propaganda messages that are designed to make us fear some amorphous threat and also be suspicious of others. The government designs these messages to make us feel dependent and heavily lorded over in every aspect of our lives. These messages are becoming ever more pervasive, hitting us even in grocery stores when we are shopping.”

And what say the other "candidates" about these important, even vital issues?

    The silence is deafening...

Ron is probably his own worst enemy....

    other quotes by Ron:

"Just remember that immediately after 9/11, we removed the base in Saudi Arabia, our policies definitely had an influence," Paul said. "To argue the case they want to do us harm because we're free and prosperous I think is a very dangerous notion, because it's not true."

If you know what he is referencing, what he said is not a lie.

Konsider the source here, the shape changer -Krauthammer- Never a lie has come out of his mouth.

    Read this on another site.

Ron Paul joins sides with the traitor Rosenbergs’ son, calls WikiLeaks traitor Manning a “patriot”

By Coach Collins, on December 22nd, 2011

    By Kevin “Coach” Collins

Iowa caucus voters pay close attention.

Do you really want to vote for a man who would join with the son of executed Communist spies Julius and Ethel Rosenberg to declare the traitorous Bradley Manning a “hero” a “patriot” and a “whistle blower?”

Paul, who switched parties from Libertarian to Republican because he knows he could never get elected wearing his true colors, declared Army soldier Bradley Manning, the person who purposely gave WikiLeaks thousands of sensitive secret documents about how America conducts war operations, a hero and a patriot!

Robert Meeropol whose parents were fried in Sing Sing’s electric chair for passing Atom bomb secrets to their Soviet Communist masters is the spokesman for the Bradley Manning Support (BMSN) Network. The BMSN which published a November 5 article about Ron Paul’s praise for their hero has a Board of Directors that includes Code Pink, Daniel Ellsberg and Michael Moore.

Who is Bradley Manning, the man Ron Paul supports?

Bradley Manning is currently on trial for TREASON at Fort Meade Maryland. Not only is Manning a vicious enemy of America (who is hiding behind his homosexuality as a defense) but he is a thief and may be a murderer as well. A careful reading of all WikiLeaks documents, made publically available, shows they contain the names of Iraqi civilians who have helped us in our war on terror. Certainly these people are in danger if they haven’t been killed already.

Watching Paul’s rise in the Iowa polls brings to mind the old warning about being careful what you wish for because you might get it. Just ten days ago the Republican establishment and Willard Romney’s handful of supporters were looking at a loss in Iowa they might not survive. Newt Gingrich was about to spoil their plans for moving a reliably malleable puppet into the White House, then Ron Paul came along. Now they have a big problem: Ron Paul is a certifiable “tinfoil hat” lunatic and if he wins he will make Iowa’s caucuses a laughing stock and provide a free “do over” to Gingrich.

Stopping Paul and voting for a genuine conservative can maintain the importance and integrity of the Iowa Caucuses. Now it is up to you Iowa voters- what do you want to do?

All I can say is that anyone who is against what this man says, is not an American. How can you even begin to argue the rights of American their constitutional rights? Ron Paul is a constitutionalists. That is our country. A Republic not a Democracy.

I have to say Rick that our last two presidents have given away more civil rights than any other presidents in history. Let's just review what the senate and congress and O'bummer just signed into law this last week in the link above. We are now officially a fascist state. The Constitution is what sepererates us from the rest of the world.

Ron Paul's foreign policy is simple: do unto others as you would have others do unto you; trade with all.

Makes a lot of sense. Brings our sons and daughters home; we should not be the Hussians of old.

dave-320c,,,,that would be a utopian world,,,,unfortunatly, it is not a realistic one,,,,many countries are ruled by nut jobs and try as you may, you CANNOT work with them,,,,just you think something is "fair",,,,does not mean the OTHER party thinks it is "fair"....
