    "Kool-Aid, Kool-Aid, tastes great.

    Kool-Aid, Kool-Aid, can't wait."

It's been so long since I heard it, I cannot remember the exact words.

    Sounds good to me!

Why should people who make more pay a bigger percentage than those who do not?

That is not the "American Way". Where is the "equal" justice and protections in that as offered by the Consitution.

If you have your greedy eyes on other peoples property, then you can't be trusted.

What is "fair" about those 49% pay nothing and enjoy the freedoms offered by this country?

Why is it up the rich to correct the costly mistakes made by Congress? Maybe they should be made to payback they money they squandered.

Why are you so greedy? You a follower of "government greed"???

Have you ever read Commandments 7 through 10?

Do you believe in the practice of class warfare and envy??? Not everybody does and those who do are no looked upon by others as being decent people.

Obama is no Robin Hood and nobody is confusing the two mythical creatures. Robin Hood stole from the State, the money the State took from the poor.

Again, when you take something that does not belong to you, it is called stealing. Promoting theft by proxy through your choice in elected officials does not provide you with clean hands.

The top 1% pays 75%-80% of all the taxes. The top 10% pays over 90%. 47% of the people in the US don't pay any taxes. Capital gains tax is currently 15%. However, capital gains tax is a tax on profits made on investments with "after tax" money. That after tax money in most cases is money leftover AFTER paying 35% to 50% on taxes.

So, whos not paying their fair share?

Most new businesses and business expansions are financed with "after tax" money and borrowed money from private investors (again "after tax" dollars) as collateral with a bank loan.

Government doesn't create business, they tax business.
BTW, if you removed the new federal emplyees from Obama's "new jobs" numbers over the last 4 years, he would have NEGATIVE job growth.

ps: I've never been hired by a poor man.

Setterman, the top 10% do pay most of the taxes but, once again, "47% of the people in the US don't pay any taxes" is not a true statement.

Rick, "Why should people who make more pay a bigger percentage than those who do not?"

I agree with that, I have always felt the rich should not be penalized for making more. But I guess it makes them an easy target.

Does not matter if the percentage is 36, 40, or 51.

We have a poverty rate of less than 15 percent, even 36-40 % percent is too big number for people not "paying their fair share."

Yeah Rick, talking to me or Setterman? Everyone pays taxes. When you talk about "their fair share", that is another argument.

    Yes

And yes, everyone pays taxes, but not everyone pays Federal Income taxes. That is the subject here.

Fair can have only one meaning, it should be same amount or same percentage.

I do not agree with the Communist manifesto definition. "according to his ability"

Johnny, I don't believe you ever think of the whole picture. Just to give you a start, I had 8 workers that each had two to four children. They did pay taxes to the tune of $3500.00 a year but got from $8000.00 to $19000.00 back with their tax return. This is part of the equation that almost 50 percent don't pay taxes. Most of them just blew the money on fun things etc. Just part of Obama money give away that needs to be fixed and he's had opportunity to fix it and hasn't. The bottom line is that he needs and wants those vote. I hope we see if Romney takes any action. Jackie B.

If the "rich" were taxed at a 100% tax rate, it would generate enough money to run this country for 18 days. Then what?
