    Have a Question
I have tried about everything that comes to mind. So will ask if any of you have tried to put a star crimp on a fired roll crimped hull? The hull will not take a normal crimp.

While there are some 'depends' on the brand of hull & it's composition, that is more a function of the kind & quality of crimp-starter you have and which reloader you're using.

If you're using MEC, with the new, plastic ball-bearing Spindex, it will be nearly impossible to make a crimp, either 6- or 8-point from a previously rolled hull.

You'll need one of these gizmos:

Either Ballistic Products or Precision Reloading has them.

BPI & PR also have chingasas you chuck in a drill and 'relax' & re-form the hull-mouth to make reloading easier.

If you're reloading stuff like LE & tactical hulls, you'll need to skiv and re-form the mouth first. Most people chunk them as too much trouble.
