Told ya RINOs are a cancer on the party.

Looks like the patient isn't going to make it.

The next RINO blight, Gov. Krispy Kreme, will go down in flames, as he blames people who believe in liberty, freedom, and government accountability both financially and politically:

“This strain of libertarianism that’s going through parties right now and making big headlines I think is a very dangerous thought", Gov. Chris Christy.

    Welcome President Hillary.

For decades taxpayers have clamored for enforcement of the immigration laws and have been ignored. We are suffering the effects of taxpayers being ignored while footing the bills for bad political decisions.

The Republicans don't seem to understand that they can not appease liberals by making their rules, that is, 'go along get along politics'.

The libs don't follow any rules; so the rules being made are for you alone Republicans. Lib rules of the game are by design to make Republicans paint themselves into a corner and trip over their own belief systems.

That's why no should be no, period no compromises no meeting in the middle. Fools.

What is lacking is contoversy, conflict, rebuttal and ironically, 'stick to your guns' validity.

What we see is cliche, mamby pamby, wishy washy, diluted dialog and no slap back.

For example, bad immigration policies do what? Bad policies exhaust our education systems, our law enforcement systems, judicial systems, our medical systems, and our social services systems and republicans know it but do nothing about it except go along with the libs who want to prove our systems bad.

Truth is they are wonderful systems when they are not over run and overburdened
by people who have contributed nothing into these systems and you do argue at least that much, that the systems are wonderful when working properly, but it is not enough.

I think the Republican plan is to stand on the sidelines and watch the Democratic party self destruct. HMB

Libs have too much 'foreign' financial involvement and verbal support to self destruct. Maybe if libs were entirely on their own (that's a joke in itself)...but for repubs, if that's the case, hmb,...

There is little doubt that the Republican "establishment" has destroyed the party of Reagan. However, there are other contributing factors as well.

There are states where "open primaries" allow Dems (and other) to vote for the Republican candidate.

The rules of Congress allow the House and Senate leaders to set the agenda for that body and deny ALL members the right to vote on valid issues. This eliminates true choice between ALL alternatives and ony permits one party's voice to be heard. Further the "rules" can be changed at any time by the majority party.

The Democerat Party has tapped into the "get it free, get it now" mentality of a rapidly increasing welfare population. Since they control the government, they are expanding this dependency culture in order to perpetuate themselves in power. This is a difficult thing to fight against especially when the media and the education system is arrayed against self reliance and responsibility.

However, one must also look at the larger picture. For example, world-wide poverty is increasing. As more people decend into poverty, there are fewer people to whom we can sell products and services. Workers get laid off. factories close, etc. This worldwide downward spiral is beyond our controlIn

In Ameerica alone, poverty has increased dramatically in spite of the $5 trillion we have spent since the beginning of the "war on poverty". America was basically a 20th century phenomenon. A century of war. Perhaps time has passed us by and the world is decending into another period of stagnation or radical change. If you look at all of the signs, domestically and globally, there does not seem to be much hope in the short or medium term.

Through all of this, the conservative movement appear to be like Salmon swimming upstream only to breed and die. Their ofspring are being converted by a perverse education system into good soldie3rs of the left. In a couple of more generations, conservatives, constitutionalists as well as liberty and freedom will all be extinct. And sionce the survivors will write the history of these events, the blame will fall on the vanquished. "it's Bush's fault".

    548,

So you are admitting Obama has helped the rich get richer, and the poor get poorer. I would not argue those facts either, except those are the same ideologies that he campaigned against twice. Since you are admitting he has done more to eliminate the middle class, and widen the incomes gaps, then I agree with you. Once again the great divider has lived up to his reputation. We have the rich making more money than ever off the stock market, and more people than ever on food stamps and government benefits. Meanshile the middle class keeps creeping closer and closer to the lower class everyday. This seems very much like the corrupt government in Russia. This always happens whenever the people hand all the control over to their government.

11/5/08, Unemployment 6%. Rate of inflation 5%. Home interest rate 5.5%. Gasoline $1.34.

The Pres. has done a wonderful job in 5 years (the slowest recovery from a recession ever recorded).

Could some one please remind me what his jobs growth plan is?

Obama IS doing well - for himself! It's off to another super-luxury vacation. How many does this make, for him and/or his family? I have lost count.

When GWB went on vacation he went to his ranch. Reagan went to his ranch and George HW went to his home in Maine. This charletan goes wherever it costs the most and the hell with the American people who are paying for it. After all, his supporters are on welfare so they are not paying. THEY are cheering for him to stick it to those who are paying taxes and paying for his goodies.

Stl flyn, please explain how that article is any different when Hillary and Obama were draggin each other through the mud. Both Christie and Paul are hoping they are the next repuublican presidential candidate, so it is understood they are going to start on each other early. As I have said many times before, republicans need to start picking their candidate early, or we end up with the likes or Romney. I think republicans are going to have clear candidtates when it comes to 2016, and that can only be a good thing. As for the dems, well lets just say people who stick with cheating spouses are some of the lowest life forms on earth.

Things certainly are in a state of flux just now. Eventually they will straighten out. Unfortunately, sometimes the U S goes in the wrong direction for a while and the people suffer. Currently the Repubs. have no superstar in the Senate or the House. But neither do the Dems. Then there is the matter of the Press abdicating their responsibility to accurately report events. I expect we will need a more informed public. Fortunately, this site and some others, give a variety of opinions. Just dig in and weigh what is presented, while keeping in mind that the Constitution is law, not suggestions. We are a most blessed nation, with abundant natural resources and we used to have an informed citizenry. Make an effort to tell your offsprings just how it is supposed to be. Point out that through God or serendipity we had the best Government ever seen on this Earth. It may need a tune-up from time to time, but the foundation is still there.

rpeerless, re: "'go along get along politics'."...

The GOP plays this game badly. The liberals and the media own them every time.

Hypothetical scenario: The liberals propose increasing spending on (insert pet liberal social program here) by 20%.

The GOP, trying to play both ends and seem like they are not obstructionists, tries to negotiate for a 10% increase on something they should be voting to reform and eliminate. But they think they'll be seen as nice guys and the affected people will vote for them. They certainly won't be alienating their own voters because those votes are taken for granted.

Then those same champions of compromising fairness wind up reeling from liberal charges and media reporting that THE GOP IS SLASHING THE (insert pet liberal social program here) BY 10%!!!! THE GOP WANTS TO STARVE GRANDMA AND GRANDPA TO DEATH!!! AND STEAL LUNCHES FROM SCHOOLCHILDREN!!!

And in the end the liberals will accept the 10% increase because that was their target all along. All they had to do was pick a number higher than their foolish compromising opponents.

This is how the politics of compromise, "go along to get along", failed leadership and no backbone turn a political party into the moderate wing of the opposition.

The GOP has played this game for four decades now, and has miserably failed and let down their own supporters and the country. They have failed to provide a meaningful check and balance on the liberals. They have become, in effect, Liberal Lite.

And that's why there is a tea party, made up of conservatives and others who are sick and tired of Liberal Lite. And that is why you have RINOs and other liberal coddlers fighting the tea party. They don't want their boat rocked, and they don't want to be exposed for being... liberals.

The problem is, the RINO betrayal of conservatives has gone on so long that there is probably little that can be done to prevent an economic collapse at some point. We've reached the point where the deficit and borrowing are so large they're not going to be able to be paid off.

You can thank RINOs and their blind supporters for destroying the conservative party.
