Does anybody know of a safe 1oz or 1 1/8 oz load for Rio hulls with the new Nitro 100 powder? Can't find anything on the Accurate site and don't wanna guess? Someone told me to use Red dot data, but seems like a shot in the dark to me. Any help??

Rio/Kemen Hulls are Cheddite type hulls and can be reloaded with that data.

I know they are comparable to the Cheddite and other import hulls, but the Accurate website only lists Remington and AA data. Any help?

You might want to consult the burn rates of different powders in relation to Nirtro. Might give you a batter indication.

Has anybody seen an updated burn rate chart with the new Nitro 100?

I have loaded the kemmens and rio's with promo, same as red dot. used 17.5 for 1 oz loads, and 18.0 for 1 1/8 loads using the 12SO for 1 oz, and 12s3 for 1 1/8 loads. Not sure what wads original mfg uses.

Can I use any other straight wall hull data? Maybe the Federal data? Just curious?

Call Western Powders and talk to them. I have and received all the information I needed. You can get the number off their web site.

I'd give Western a call too, but my BPI Advantages Manual 6th Edition lists a single 1 oz. load using a Fiochi hull, which I think the RIO would sub just fine for. Only caveat is thy call for the BW12 wad, this is a cupless wad. Would that make a big difference, I dunno. Listed specs are 20.0 gr. Nitro 100 with FIO primer, pushing about 1270 fps at 7500 psi. All other 1 oz loads are taper hulls as are 9/8 loads too. Perhaps t does not like straight walls. Western will know.
