    I think lanolin but not sure.

    John- That was a very nice thing you did. The original RIG is perhaps the very best rust prevention coating around. It was not designed to be a lubricant but was made to prevent rust and it does that job very well.

    Damn it! I love mine and always hard to find.

    Can it be stored for a REALLY long time or does it need to be fresh?

    Does it need to be applied all over the place or just the parts touched by fingers?
