    Sorry to hear Richard passed away, he was a good friend, and fellow shooter, always humorous at the WV state shoot.

    I first shot with Richard about 1970 at Pinehurst, NC. He was a friend. Whenever I think about him I always recall him shooting AA Silver (now gray) shells at handicap, singles and doubles. He liked strong shells.

    Richard Paxton was a fine gentleman and I can still remember him giving me a West Virginia lapel pin when I was a ref at the Pinehurst GC.

    He will be surely missed.
