jackmitch, Skip has been a vendor at the Iowa State Shoot for some time. I don't know how many years.

He sold vests, gloves and other things and he was right be side Merlyn's Guns.

Zardo, Did you notice that Merlyn and Skip were with each other so much, that it was sort of hard to tell them apart........They started to look like one another.........didn't they?

Of course I didn't have any trouble telling them apart, Merlyn was the tall one........lol lol

Skip and I have been vending togeather for 5-6 years. We have shared untold happy times doing this, both with each other and with our friends. I hope and pray that Skip will be well enough to participate in the sport and business in the future. We need to keep up the prayers. When I talked with him earlier this week, he wasn't out of the "woods" yet.........merlyn......

Merlyn, good to 'hear' from you on here too. Hadn't seen you post in a while. wondered how you and your lovely wife were doing. Please let Skip know we are all praying for him. Tell him he owes us a mini golf game, we all need to go back and do that again! If you talk to Alex, tell him we are thinking of him as well. Haven't talked to him in a while.)

Thanks to all who responded to this thread Nice to know there are good friends out there.

A little update as of 02/14/08.
As some of you you or may not know -- I came down with Esophogeal cancer in late'07 and have been undergoing radiation and chemotherapy to shrink the tumor until last week.

My surgeon met with my family and I yesterday and we scheduled surgery for the 26th of Feb.
He explained it was a very risky operation and the odds not high of it being successful but decided it was probably the best thing to do.

Please keep my family and I in your prayers cause I want to see all of you on the trapline in the future.

    Best regards to all.
