What's the best way to remove those BIG white letters that spell the obvious from my stock. I was told a hair dryer. Anything work better.

    Thanks, Tom

    It's either hot or cold.

Hair dryer can warm it up and loosen the adhesive, it'll be sticky but easy to peel, cold from the refrigerator will make the adhesive lost it's ability to stick on.

WD40 will clean it up really well afterward.

Heat and then WD40 like mentioned. I've removed hundreds of decals like this.

If you show faint marks in the finish, Birchwood casey makes a fine buffing compund in the little blue bottle, then hit the area with their stock wax. Most of that stuff will go away. Where it doe snot go away however is if the stock is sunbleached.

It's a new to me TMX, I shoot it well, maybe it IS the stickers! Wonder if there's a big crater lurking under there? Thanks for the reply's, Tom.

Goo Gone is another petro distillste that will remove glue and not harm finishes.

The label says it will remove "stickers, make-up, oil, wet paint, scuff marks, shoe polish, tree sap, asphalt, candle wax, tape, glue, grease and mother-in-law cooties."

I replaced my MX-8's "Perazzi' sticker with a "Ljutic" sticker and improved my scores right away.

There is a guy that posts on this site every once in a while that will custom make stickers for you. I am sure you can get it done.
