My mx-2000 screws out and would think that the mx-8 does the same.

I have been told that the center bead is a press fit and very hard to remove. Front is a screw in type bead. Marc

The small METAL mid bead is pressed and likely break trying to remove it.

If yours is white and plastic, it has been replaced.

Lucio at Perazzi told me that he uses a hammer and chisel and knocks them off. The way he said it made me think he does this on a regular basis. Front should be a screw in.

The front bead is a screw-in of 2.3 or 2.5mm thread. Many shooters replace the front bead with a Bradly bean with American thread, such as 3-56, 4-40.

Unfortunately, the American replacement not only is American thread, but it is also large in size. Brownell's sell the American ones. I have the original Perazzi ones from Italy (click my website link above for pricing).

The mid bead is a pressed-in, and as mentioned above, it it's white, the it has been replaced. Probably a pressed-in sleeve and a small ivory insert. Brownell's has these also, and it would depend upon the hole diameter. I have the Italian replacement screw-in, and also of metric threads. These Italian replacements have the shoulder on them, so you can screw them in flush and they stay.

    Hope this helps.
