Removing a stick on pad from the comb on a Red Label. I peeled the pad off but there's some sticky glue left on the wood. Any suggestions on how to remove the glue without hurting the finish?

WD40 is good for removing glue.

But, test it on finish first.

It worked for me on a Krieghoff, but that had an epoxy finish.
