I've removed the butt pad on my new Beretta 686 white onyx sporting shotgun. I'd like to remove the stock from the reciever. Looking into the stock I see some sort of a plug or plate which doesn't allow me to get at the stock bolt. How do I remove this so that I can get at the stock bolt head? Is the stock bolt head a Hex 1/8 inch type? I'd like to see into the action to check for any debris or grease build-up. Thanks in advance....JP Felice

The "plug" you see is probably a wrench guide. The stock bolt takes a 6mm allen wrench.
