They can be a beotch to get out. I just did one a week ago and forgot how tight they are in there. My only magic trick is they go in and come out from the bottom.
Like warpspeed said the retaining pin will ONLY go in and out one direction. It is a tapered pin and is skived(???correct word) in three places. Will need a decent bench block and punch and some pretty good whacks to get it out.
Thanks guys> I figured that was the case, but wanted to make sure. I love it when brute force is the answer! Used the vice as a makeshift press and got the job done. Now I'll be able to swipe the one out of my wife's 20 gauge tomorrow while she's at work and get mine running until the spares get here.
