Check out the April, 2010, issue of "Guns" magazine for info on Remington's new loads using their "Hypersonic" wads. How about a 1-3/8 ounce steel load at 1700 fps, while staying within SAAMI pressure limits!?!

Also discussed are Winchester's new 12 gauge 2-3/4 shell "packing 3 pellets of 00 plated buckshot over a 1-ounce rifled Power Point slug", and a .410 2-1/2 shell "loaded with three unique plated 'Defense Disc' projectiles and 12 plated BB's".

I think this load will go the same route as the "Du-Plex" offering from Remington years back?

After a few yards, those lighter pellets will hafta get out of that slugs way and scatter out. Miss with the slug and wound with the pellet if sold with deer hunting in mind?

I have read that "buck and ball" was used in smoothbore muskets during the Revolution War and more people were injured by bayonets than by bullets. Winchester needs to read some history. Larry
