That was a great video. I would like to see a more modern video to see if things have changed. It was interesting about the test firing when they said that they test fire with ammunition that far exceeds pressures what would be normally used.

You know I think GREAT video. I think there 5mm rimfire was ahead of its time, with V-Max tip bullets it would give a .17 HMR a run for the money. Good Shooting.

Very cool video, thanks for posting it. I particularly like the barrel straightening machine at 8:01.

' Nostalgia " ...isn't it great,...good ol days....here's some history. Yes, would be nice to see the modern day factory...found this little video, more of a safety video though, but shows parts of the modern production.

Great video. A blast from the past.

I wonder how many 742's they had to test to find one that would group that well?

    thanks

    B.D.1200,

If you look at your ( Shotgun, Rifle, Handgun ) barrel, from whatever manufacturer, you will find what are known as "Proof" marks. The newly created barrel and reciever ( bolt face, breech face ) is always "Proofed" with a cartrige which exhibits much higher than normal pressures, then inspected for ANY damage, prior to being released for sale.
