From what I have read on TS.COM,many shooters feel the STS premium shells are far superior to Gun Clubs. I shot both (2 3/4 dram 7 1/2) at the recent Buckeye Classic. The ATA moved me up to the 19 yd. line from the 23 last year. I could distinguise no difference in my scores or hitting power with either shell. In my opinion the premium shells were a waste of money for short yardage. I was surprised! Any one else out there find this to be true?

At short to mid-yardage handicap I would agree.
But at any handicap over 23 yards the harder shot in the STS would help your scores.
The Gun Clubs and Super Targets are a very good shell for the price.

And the Gun Club hull is VERY reloadable.

STS always felt a little less "punchy" recoil-wise then Gun Clubs.

The only difference I found in STS and Gun Club was the price. No score change for me.

Unless they are factory shells, they both reload excellent. IF they are factory, I can see where the quality control may be better. None of my Model 12s like Gun Club reloads. They hate the steel casings. Bummer cause my PW loads them nicely

I was doing some POI testing tonight and could really tell the difference in premium shells (AA vs club). Probably won't cost you any birds @ 16 but there is a difference. I'm going to continue with some pattern testing of shells and chokes.
If you have a place to shoot, make yourself 2x4 frame and get a roll of paper and test different chokes with different shells. It will give you confidence in what you are shooting.
If I'm at a registered shoot I will pay for the premo ammo.
