Ran out of my favorite for 12ga LAGE Uniwad need replacement. Is Remingtons Nitro 27 & Premer STS Hull straight or tapered hull? and not a fan of Rem fig 8 wad I use mec 650 loader and does not load very well. I load 1 1/8 load for both trap and skeet to between 1145 and 1200 FPS using what ever bushing I need to get this only change shot size.

I use Winchester AA wads in both 1oz and 1 1/8oz sizes in mine. Your receipe book should have listings for them. David

My personal favorite is the Downrange Winjammer replacement.

Rem and Win hulls are tapered. Fed is straight.

I use CB 4118 Windjammer wads with good results.

Downrange XL 1 1/8 (blue) - excellent reloading in Remington STS or Nitro hulls. They use same loading data as Winchester ... see Hogdgon data. Regards, Ed

I agree with the Clay Buster Windjammer - CB 4118-12B 1 1/8th oz. They're easy loading, pattern excellent, create lower pressures at an economical price. What more could you ask for?

    Shoot safely, well and often,

I like the Remington Figure 8 for 1 1/8 and TGT12 for 1 oz. Decent clones will do. A good wad for handicaps is the Red Versalite.

Downrange wads work really well in these hulls.

I like the Remington OEM wads best:

    TGT12S for 1 oz.

    Fig8S for 1 1/8 oz.

    SP12 for 1 1/4 oz.

    RP12 for 1 3/8 oz.

Remington Claybuster clones do not feed well in my MEC 9000. The Remington OEM wads load very smooth and give excellent crimps.

The SP12 wad with 25 grains of Alliant Herco, 1 1/4 oz. of magnum 7's and a Rem 209P primer (see Alliant web site) makes a dandy "games" load for back in the parking lot.

As stated above, I've been using WW AA12 wads in these for years for 27 yard practice. They sure seem to work and chronograph nicely too.
