Picked up a bag of Remington PT28S wads to start reloading 28 gauge. The recipe on the Hodgdon reloading page shows PT28 wads. I figure that these are the "stitched" version of the PT28 wads. I can find no mention of the PT28S wad on the Remington component web site. Anybody know why? Discontinued design?

    Thanks,

    Pat

They are the same wad, just one is stitched (the PT28S is the current design). I was told it made it easier for them to load factory shells (the old mold wore out, and they had the new one made w/ the stitching). I'd look for the SP410 and RXP20 to be stitched at some point in the future when the molds wear out.
