As memory serves, aren't they smaller than the 209. Only fit early Remington shells. I am thinking about Rem. 57

The Remington 69 was a "209" size..i think the first big primer Remington made. The 109 primer was also the same. Thus...the "9" designation.. Fred

if memory serves me correctly????? Rem. #69 were for 410,,,also 69s were same dia. as 57s (smaller than 209 size).. 57s were replaced by (209 sized) 97* & later by 209sts. Fed. also put out a 410 primer but it was 209 size & designated as Fed.#410 they were a very mild primer & not suitable for larger gauges..Ross
