Couple questions for an impending project:

The 58 has 2 different generations of action bars, a one piece and a two piece. Is one better than the other. Both are around the same money. However, on the two piece, the part that is most likely to break (the bars themselves) is the cheaper of the two parts ($20 for the bars, $50 for the piece the bolt rides on, or $70 for a one piece unit).

Can a Remington 1100 bolt be feasibly substituted for a 58 bolt?

I'm sure i'll have more questions as I get the ball rolling. Been talking off and on about this project for about 3 years now, and think i'm just finally ready to get everything in gear.

Get the 2 pc bar.. Yes.. the 1100 bolt will work.. or an 870 bolt if you machine the slot for the cocking bar..
