Here is a communication from Remington that explains what parts are changed out when the Remington 3200 was updated. There have been several questions about just what is done in the update and this gives a detailed listing of what parts are replaced. Looks pretty extensive. Phil

Good Info and always good work from Remington. May be a fewer dollar fix for many than Laib's or others. Though they do excellent work. Took my 3200 to the Grand in 2004 to have updates done and found they had already been done at the factory on 2 owners before.

That is excellent information regarding the parts to update the 3200 and thanks for posting the information. Was wondering why they had to drill and place the allen head screws into the breech face to do the updates?

I spoke with the Remington gunsmiths at the Grand and was told by them that they do not do updates anymore. They send them to Laib's for that work.

Yeah, the information would be great if Remington hadn't bailed out.
