When the 1100 came out in 1963 what was the cost for field, trap or skeet?

My Dad bought the second 1100 SA Skeet in Tenn for me in 1963. It was $159.50 from a Hardware store.

Ser no 111189V. Funny I still remember the serial.

I'm a little fuzzy in my memory, but I think I bought a field grade model from a Grant's department store in Pennsylvania for $160.00 around 1975.

My first shotgun was an 1100 LT-20 skeet that my wife bought me for Christmas, 1979 - cost unknown. In 1981, I bought a 12 gauge 30" field from Jimmy Craig's for (I believe) $299.00. About a year later I bought a Trap T from Craig's for $420.00. Still have those 3 Remingtons and have added a 3200 Special Trap and 870 TC since -- both were used and more than the Trap T new. Have had good service with the Remington's.

My first 1100 was purchased from a Remington Rep. who had repossessed it from a dealer who had gone broke around 1964 - about $175, I think.

Stan Baker installed a wire hull catcher and the gun shot to the left, thereafter.

I traded it to my barber for 10 haircuts. The barber was a deckhand on a ferry the last I heard. It goes on and on - - -.

I saw a few 1100's in 1964 and bought my first in early l965. I bought two skeet guns at that time and paid $134.95 for each of them. They came from a dealer in Kansas new in the boxes. Still have the guns..both still good shooters. When the 1100 match pairs of 410 and 28 came out in 1970 (i think)_I bought a set, weights and all, in the green case fo $435. Shot the 28 well but never shot a great score with the 410. Wish I had the matched pair back.,.Fred

I bought a 20 gauge in 63 and bought it through my dads hardware store(he didn't sell guns and you didn't have to be a dealer back then) and it cost me $96.00. I left home in 66 going into the Air Force and some where along the line while I was in England from 67 to 71 it disappeared. Jackie B.

I didn't buy mine until 1970. I got it on a close-out when a local Woolco store was closing for $121.00. I still have it, but it got another two barrels - a steel shot 3 inch magnum barrel and a slug barrel.
