I have a 28ga Rem 1187 and it throws empties about 20 YARDS (I have seen several like comments, so this must be a trait of the 28)

Will a standard deflector, used in a 12ga, work in the 28? If so where do I get one and is it easily installed?

    Thanks in advance!
    Jim

Check with Joe ("Tron") at Tronspace.com. He installs quite a few and may have some experience with the 28 guage. My last Remington 28 guage seemed to send the shells off the field, so it seems like they do a good job ejecting. It's a little different on a skeet field, where the other shooters are usually not right next to you, so nobody seemed bothered by it.

Jim, you have an 11-87 in 28ga.? I have an 1100 in 28ga. and one in .410. they use a different shell catcher (than my 12ga.) made just for the small frame. hope this helps, Jack
