    Not trying to be a smart ass but is one really necessary? If u know what u paid for something the use of these #s will get u there:
    7000 grns = 1 lb.
    1 25 lb bag of shot = 440 shells dropping 1 oz

    The rest is simple math.

    Is a calculator really necessary to figure out your bills? You know math.

    ITS FASTER, MORE RELIABLE, and you and quickly plug in different numbers to calculate other component prices.

    The slide rule was cool too. anyone still use one over a calculator?

    Is a car really necessary? I mean you know how to walk. It's simple one leg in front of the other.

    Hooked on Shooting;

    Your numbers are WRONG!!

    1-25 pound of shot = 16 ounces/pound x 25 pounds = 400 ounces

    Therefore you can only load 400 shells with 1 ounce of shot per bag of shot.

    Usually the 25 pound bags vary by an ounce or two. Not very much becaust they are filled by automatic machinery.

    I hope your mistake was just a TYPO.
