I need to have a Release trigger put in my BT-99 Plus MICRO.
Can anyone reccomned a good trigger smith?
I have tried to contact spears and no reply to e-mail and both of his phone numbers are not accepting any calls.

I do have a spears release trigger for I think a oldet bt99 that won't work in my bt99 plus MICRO. I don't know why, But a gunsmith could not get it to work.

    All help appreciated.

Doug Hubbart does the Bowen style release. He has done two for me and they were great triggers. Great prices and fast turnaround. Call him at 573-286-9905.

Skeet's Gun Shop, Tahlequah, OK. Dean Harris is the Gunsmith. Has done two for me in recent past. Very reasonable price and easy to convert back to pull with no change in pull settings.

I would agree with having Phil Crenwelge or Skeets do the job. I would not consider Spears. I had a difficult time getting work done by Darrel at Spears. JMHO. Ed

I can't believe no one has listed ALLEM RELEASES as a choice. The best trigger period. Phillip is also a good trigger man. I have used both guys.

I would look at the Bowen style trigger it is a complete trigger not just a hook on a BT trigger. It is very well made and if you compare them side by side you will be amazed at the quality difference. Ask Doug Hubbart for a picture of the release the Bowen style release is a jewel. He has done two for me and they were great triggers. Great prices and fast turnaround. Call him at 573-286-9905.

Allems has been having a lot of triggers being sent back lately especially on Blasers I personally know of 2 sent back 4 times. Never fixed Allem does not appear to offer any refunds to them, as I asked them if Allems was going to refund them money. They had to have a Pat McCarthy Release trigger installed.

Try GARY ROMAN (master gunsmith) at FIREARMS SERVICE CENTER, LOUISVILLE, KY.
I have 3 release triggers by Gary, they all work great, (sx-1, skb 85 tss double release and bt-99.) Price was reasonable and turn around time was good.

A Good Friend HAD An Allem Release Trigger That Became Very "Light" After A VERY Short Time. He Called Allem To See What They Would Do About The Problem And Was Told "It's Not Our Problem It Is The Shooter". Of Course They Told Him They Would Fix It But, He Would Have To Pay For The Work. The RUDENESS Of The Person He Talked To Was UNREAL.Needless To Say He Bought A NEW Trigger And Will NEVER Use Allem Again. Thank You Dr. Longshot For You Thread. "Just saying" Joe W.

I have numerous Allem's release triggers. Conventional and roller release triggers. I have NEVER had a problem with any of them. It's hard for me to believe someone there was rude unless provoked but, I guess we all have our bad days.

I won't say anything RUDE about anyone elses triggers.....that wouldn't be first hand knowledge and would be RUDE.

P.S...Dr. Longshot...is this the same buddies who had the roller releases in their Blasers...you know....the roller releases that aren't made for Blasers...I wouldn't believe a word you say. Two years of the same lies !!!!
