From one of the ATA gurus, what are the requirements for the shooter to enter an ATA event or The Grand..... Please be specific as to what they are required to be equipped with, excluding of course the race, color, nationally, religion, IQ level, creed, quality of eyesight, ability to hear and any handicaps, I know all of these are ok.....but is there any written requirements for the rest, other than the ability to load and Shoot???????

This is a serious request. This is not spam.

Please be specific, by the book

    Eye and ear protections.

Shotgun 12 ga or smaller. Ammo not exceeding the maximum in shot size 7 1/2, weight of shot 1 1/8 oz and velocity of shot depending on the amount. It is in the rule book.

Not a rule but either a vest or pouch to hold your 25 or 50 shells.

Link above to ATA rule book.

The minimum target requirements for the Grand is in there.

Most big and some small tournaments/shoots have target minimums to avoid shooting penalty yardage or class. It must be stated in the shoot program.

You should start shooting registered targets at the weekly or monthly small shoots at your local club. These often have lower minimums.

You can pay your annual membership dues on-line or at the first registered shoot at the club.

Why respond to this. 221 is doing nothing but trying to stir up crap as evidenced by some of his other work. He likes to ridicule ATA trapshooters and if he really wanted to know he could go to the ATA web site and get it all.

    He is a non-trapshooter.
