Registered shoot numbers and classification

    That all depends on the individual club. On our one-day shoots in February and March, we do only A-B-C-D for singles and doubles. At our others we include AA. I've seen other clubs that do only A-B-C, and years ago even attended a lot of small shoots in MI/IN where there were no trophies, so no classification issues. Some clubs around here have a minimum number of entries in a class before a trophy is awarded. We figure since we've already bought a trophy, we may as well give it away. Usually our shoots are large enough so that it isn't a problem, but it is sort of like a positive feedback loop. If a club gets a reputation for having nice shoots and treating shooters well, attendance isn't a problem. If you get the opposite reputation, it's hard to overcome.
