I just checked the AZ State Trap website and noticed that Redmountain has been removed from the schedule. Does that mean that the board has given up on any hope that Redmountain will throw targets again. Also the website just deleted Redmountain from the schedule no other changes were made. Does this mean that those weeks will be non-chain weeks this year? And no other clubs will fill the void?

The Board of the ASTA and State Delgate (Doug Hawkins) will probably issue a notification as to what happened if anything ... They are usually very good about keeping the rest of us posted and up to speed on important issues ... WPT ... (YAC) ...

I suspect nothing has happened and that is why they have deleted all of Redmountains dates. You will have to admit that the Board and Doug are not the best when it comes to notifying the general public. Please do not take offense at that it just is the way it is. The Board and Doug do a great job making things happen.

Just-A-Shooter. The attempts of the ASTA BOD to communicate with the President of the tribal council have been futile. There has been absolutely no response to our requests to meet or speak with them to discuss the possibility of keeping the facility open. We are now working to fill in the blanks on the schedule, however, it can't be done without the help of some of our other clubs. And, they in turn will have to see what, if anything they can do with their current schedules and commitments - which may include shotgun sports other than trap. Believe me, we all want to know what is happening and because nothing was, there wasn't much we could tell our residents and our winter visitors. And we especially did not want to imply anything that was not factual.

The Red Mountain dates were removed from the schedule in the event someone, not aware of the sitation, saw the dates and made plans around them.

So,sorry for the "wait"...we are trying to do our best in this very unfortunate situation. Thankfully, our winter visitors are finding other areas around Mesa and Tucson to stay...and we will provide them with plenty of targets to shoot.
