Alliant's website is down. I usually shoot Winchester primers with 17.5 grains of red dot and claybuster wads. I cannot buy Winchester primers in my area. Can I use Remington 209 primers with the same components?

What hull are you using? I use the same load with a Cheddite primer with AA's.

With 17.5 grains of Red Dot...any primer will be safe. It is a mild loading.

The Remingtons will most likely result with a slightly lower pressure and possibly a very slight reduction in velocity. That is not always the case. You can download the Alliant Powder Catalog from their website and open it up with adobe acrobat reader. It has a lot of new data that was not in their online data base.
