I have a very old Mec Jr reloader and am looking for a good light 1 1/8 oz. load using Red Dot powder. I have looked at some old re-loading books and some say 16 grains and others 18-21 Grains. I am loading AA Hulls, Federal 209 primers with Hornady Versalite wads. Any help?

    Regards, Scott

The 16 or so will work fine; the larger range is too hot.

Go to www.Alliantpowders.com and pick a combination that matches your primer and wad.
