From the Washington Times - "The federal government posted its largest monthly deficit in history in February, a $223 billion shortfall"

Good thing February only had 28 days. $223,000,000,000 shortfall in one month!
They are DEFICIT spending 7.9643 billion EVERY DAY!

They are deficit spending $25.69 for every man, woman, and child in this country every day! For a typical family of 4 that means the government deficit spent (borrows) $102.76 in a single day for your family. In a week $719.32

That is DEFICIT Spending, not total spending. And that is just the Feds.

Brian, it's insanity at it's worst.

The numbers are staggering! Every day, for a family of 4, their portion of the national debt grows by over a $100. Every day, no weekends off, no holidays, no vacation. And that is not counting interest.

    What a horrible curse.

Wanna see something scary? Sit down with a calculator and run a few numbers.

The important thing is that we showed the whole world we were open minded enough to elect a person of color. We showed everybody.

The February 2011 deficit is larger than the deficit for the entire YEAR of 2007. It can't go on like this. One failed bond issue (where investors tell the Treasury no thanks) will destroy the government's credit. Inevitably, the result will be hyperinflation.

Take it into the really scary realm of how much every person would have to earn every hour or every day to generate the required taxes to pay that back......THEN...... figure it based on the actual people that are paying taxes..... that's where it gets really scary.

I live in an area where the local governments are going broke and the powers to be, will not even enforce the payment of real estate taxes.

    Yeah, but we got Mo'town.

When your taxes are directly related to someone elses salary and benefits, you're better off being that "someone else", otherwise you're screwed. Our state has 13-17 billion dollar deficit and last night they said the "state pension program is 180 billion behind". No wonder they just "temporarily" raised the state income tax from 3 to 5 percent (which is supposed to net them another whopping 5 billion to waste).

On top of that we have oil and commodity prices going thru the roof. The gov't says there is no inflation but that's total bull. There's a real possibility that we're gonna get a double dip recession. I picked up a newspaper in Yearington, Nv. the other day it's a small town south east of Reno and there were six full pages of foreclosure notices, the whole paper was only twelve pages including the foreclosure ones.

They just REFUSE to let go of the credit card. Debt service is 43 per cent of total income.

Try that at home and see how it works.

This reckless borrowing and spending is as great a threat to our country as any foreign army. We will all suffer when the breaking point is reached irregardless of political persuasion, unless you're a communist.

Typical State workforce. And they wonder why we are in the hole? This doesn't work in the private sector, as you will not survive. To save money, they are laying off Jose.

There's nothing embarassing about being stupid. In fact, once the One-World socialist government Obama dreams about is up and running, we should all get some sort of welfare check for it.

Sarcasm aside, after what we've allowed our nation to become, and after the "leaders" we have elected, and after what we've allowed our education system to do to our kids, couldn't it be reasonably argued that we are getting exactly what we deserve? The notion seems repugnant, but if I weren't an American that's probably how I would look upon our situation. I had an Englishman say that to me about guns rights too. He said, "If Americans allow their gun rights to be taken away after what they've seen happen in the UK, Australia, and other countries, then you deserve what you get." Doesn't the same thought process apply when we look at how creeping socialism has crippled Europe?

We all have a chance to change things here in 2012. A new president can not fix all the issues though. We, as a nation, need to decide whether it is worth continuing entitlements or regain global economic dominance.

Too many people are uneducated or simply ignorant. An easy way to identify such individuals is they will often say "I dont mind helping people" when talking about entitlement programs. The Fed is not in business to "help" people (though entitlements certainly dont help anyone) that is what neighbors and churches are for.

Bill Gross just dumped all US Treasuries from him famous PIMCO fund. Yes, as buyer disappear there will be hell to pay on all of us.

It is sad to see all the BS happening in Wisconson when the State Government decided to do the right thing by "pulling" the Punch Bowl. Not to mention the 5hit happening in Greece and other parts of the world. Anarchism is coming to a neighborhood near you!

Thank God we have a Big Navy. It's the only thing saving us right now.
