1. We have added the ability for anyone to 'bump' threads that they have created. This is mainly useful in the classifieds area where posters constantly bump for sale threads to bring it to the top. This allows them the ability to do that without having to clutter the thread with extra 'TTT' and 'Bump' type posts. To bump it, go inside your thread and click on 'Thread Tools' at the top, then select 'bump'. You can bump only once per 24 hour period.

For more detailed information please see this post: Thread Bump Functionality.

I have heard really good things about Glenrock but have never used them.

I have used Ernest Marlette as have many on this site, and his hot salts bluing is fabulous.

An example (my gun) and it ain't easy to blue a gun with this type of engraving and enlays

I second Mahovsky. Do it one time. Guaranteed as long as you live. Think about that one. It won't come off from hands, fingers or dings and scratches. Regular bluing wears. Birdtracker

Baron23- that is a gorgeous finish on the super-x. what did it cost to have just a standard reblue done on it? my model 12 currently has a satin finish to it and i want to keep it that way. I should think that my gun should only require prep work and to be dunked in the blueing salts. thanks BYG

BYG - not sure...I think it was about $450 for the whole gun including prep work. As to degree of shine, that results from the degree of polishing during prep work. Give Ernest a call and talk to him about it. You will not meet a finer, more honest, or nice fellow than Ernest. Many others here on this board can attest to his honest dealing.

    Cheers

Mike Crevar out of Pittsburgh. Just did my Beretta 682 for $175.00. Beautiful work and he is an excellent repair guy as well.

I have used Glenrock for many years and done lot of work for me and they are first class and you will not be disappointed. This is what they do! Not a sideline.
