recoil pad

    what is the best recoil pad for adding lop to stock and what is maximum length attainable

    Kick-Eez make a Magnum recoil pad, its over 1" & 1/8" thick... but I still think Gooey pads are the softest feeling as far as recoil.

    How much are you trying to add? Kick-eez makes spacers that can be ground to the same shape of your recoil pad. I think they come in 3 thicknesses up to 1/4".

    I think the kick-Eez would work.They're not too expensive, and looking at their web site they come in 1/2" thickness. I used to have a 1/4" one I would take out in winter and put back in during summer. All you might need is a longer screw.
