Recoil pad adjuster w/ most horizontal offset?

    which pad adjuster will allow the most side to side movement?

    The 100 Straight or the Jones are probably the best choice for factory adjusters. You also have several Stock Smiths on here that make their own and have alot of adjustment.----Matt

    You can drill and tap some extra holes in a Gracoil Pad Adjuster to get a lot more adjustment than comes from the factory. Same thing with drop at heel. One extra hole, below the mounting screw hole gives you a whole lot of additional movement.

    Bear in mind that the more the recoil pad is offset the greater the chance of that the adjuster/butt will dig into your shoulder during recoil. The risk of this increases with an oblique (edge-on) stance. Shoot the gun like a rifle and you are very likely to feel the butt portion of the adjuster on your shoulder.
