Sand paper and paitence! If you have a palm sander and can use it ok but be carefull you can do more damage with power if you don't know what your doing. Stripper is dangerious and can ruin previous repairs to flaws and cracks. I will sandpaper strip a stock for a customer for $50.00 Plus shipping. Repointing checkering to new is an additional $25-$100. A perfect refinish will run $250 to $400 and will look better than the origional finish if I do it.
