I found an old bt 99 with the beaver tail forearm. the lever is still just a little to the right of center but when you open it it seems to be just a little loose. the fore arm when closed is also a little loose. What would be needed to make it tighter ?? What would be a ballpark cost and who to do it???
    thanks

Almost any competent Gunsmith should be able to help.
It's probably the forend lug that needs adjustment.

Look for Kirby the Gunsmith he posts here and does some fantastic work.

just sent my XT for a rebuild and stock refinish to Art in Missouri. Reputation from this site gave me confidence in his work. He just received it today and I will look forward to spring when it is fun to shoot and not freeze.
