Bill, how about the club having a regular trap shoot instead of always the Annies? Maybe 16 yard, doubles, handicap, continental. Who's in charge of having shoots? JW

    Me!
This is what they are asking for and it draws 50-60+ shooters. the other
ones we tried only draw 15-20.

See how many shooters you can put together and let me know always happy to listen.

These shoots are drawing people from 3 states and they want this type of shoot.

    Thx Bill

Great program Bill. Don't change your format. More clubs should shoot this way instead a registered type. Shooters have much more fun and don't get to serious about it, they are their to have a good time.

It would be fun to have a regular trap shoot, of doubles, singles, and handicap. It seems like as the ATA/PITA season tappers off, there might be an interest. Even four or five squads would be fun for those shooters. Some don't care for the games or shooting the heavy loads.

Not to say the games aren't fun. I love them!

Seems like there are always more shooters for games at many clubs, but I wonder if after a few regular shoots, a feasible number would come out. Places that have a fair handicapping system and allow only legal trap loads seem to be most successful.

Maybe the more targets thrown the better.

The new clubhouse you posted sure makes it a nice place for both kinds of shoots.

    How is it coming along?

    Thx for the input guys.

The club house is coming along fine. Won't be done by this shoot
    but hopefully by the next.

Come on out and have some fun.

    Thx Bill

I don't think that only having 20 shooters would be a bad thing. I don't even think you have to offer much for prizes or cash either. Just would be fun to get some shooters together and shoot a shoot instead of blowing all that ammo always on practice. JW

Bill and everyone does such a great job at the club, no room to do anything but applaud them.

Brydslr has a point though - haven't seen a club that shoots quite so many 16 yd. targets week after week, or at least it seems that way when I get over that way. After a while all those singles get like chopping wood - not that I ever hit them all!

I wonder if a little shoot where some of the entry went back to winners or in a Lewis or something, held say once a month on the 3rd Saturday - or who knows?

Anyway, great club and hard working volunteers.

    Mallard,
We do a league for 10'weeks
In the winter. Last year we had a great turnout.

Our fun shoots are from the 27 back way back.
Come over and have some fun. Make sure and say hi.
