Didn't the late KKK leader in the senate go on for 2-3 days filibustering the civil rights law?

Senator Paul is attempting to draw national attention to the Obama administration's contention that it will be perfectly legal and constitutional for the President to order the death of an American citizen by drone attack, on American Soil.

#5 on the filibuster list. How things have change...?

Sen. William Proxmire (D) of Wisconsin spoke for 16 hours and 12 minutes to stall debate on an increase of the public debt ceiling in 1981.

Proxmire was concerned about the nation's rising debt level. The bill he wanted to stall action on authorizing a total debt of $1 trillion.

#4 aother Dem...Sen. Robert La Follette Sr. of Wisconsin spoke for 18 hours and 23 minutes to stall debate in 1908. The fourth longest filibuster halted debate on the Aldrich-Vreeland currency bill, which permitted the Treasury to lend currency to banks during fiscal crises, according to Senate records.

Funny how back then, fiscal responsibility was of a big concern.

Rino's are stepping out against Paul...

Lndsey Graham-"“This idea that we’re going to use a drone to attack a citizen in a cafe in America is ridiculous.”

Lindsey made the remarks after dinner with Barack Obama. Obviously Senator Graham is more worried about the figurative death of the RINO than he is of the literal death of actual Americans on actual American soil.

Edit--Lets not leave out McCain-"The country needs more senators who care about liberty, but if Mr. Paul wants to be taken seriously he needs to do more than pull political stunts that fire up impressionable libertarian kids in their college dorms. He needs to know what he’s talking about,” said Mr. McCain

The Rino's are getting riled up.

He got his answer from Eric the BeHolder. No killing of Americans on American soil by drones if they do not pose a threat. Source- NewsMax, about an hour ago.

McCain is an embarrassment to AZ. he can barely be called a Republican. I wish he would just retire and go home to all his wife's money in Sedona. gyrine

Right- Paulis helping anything? great idea comparing him to KKK congressman of the past- that will gain a lot of respect

Drones- just a tecnological advancement. Where in the constitution does it say you cant have a drone given to states for their use?

There are so many other things to worry about without being paranoid that technology will be used against wrongdoers--- of course it will-- why wouldnt it be?

    Regards from Iowa

Gene has a point. Might put some swat teams out of work. I hope a drone can get the address right. Rich

Gene, I think you are missing the point. The point is that he does not have the authority to use a droan, or anything else for that matter to kill an American citizen on American soil without due process. That means without ever having been convicted of anything. He is not the king of America, he is SUPPOSED to be the President. I do not see anything presidential about him. John

BCNU no you are missing the point

States will get this technology as it becomes less expensive

This idea against using the US military against civilians is generally prohibited by law

Not so with the states. They can and do use armored carriers, helicopters, automatic weapons against criminals already. States will purchase drones

You are pissing up a rope if you think drones wont be used by states

    Regards from Iowa

If drones are used by any state or the fed government against a US citizen that is not actively fighting or breaking the law it is unlawful. There are supposed to be no assinations in America. Why it took more than 1 day,let alone 6 weeks, to get a letter from Holder stating they would not do it is puzzling.

I just donated to Paul.It was the 1st donation I've made to a politician that I felt good about in quite some time.
