Radar Gun for Setting Targets

    Am looking for suggestions for the best radar gun to set targets, we are a small trap club with only 4 traps. Anyone out there have a used one they would like to sell ?

    How much do you want to spend? A low powered gun (Sports Radar 3600) will do a good job for you at about $300, must be used either from just behind the house or in the house. High powered guns sell for more like $600, not any more accurate but can be used from the 16 yd line or even farther back.

    Buy a chronograph ($129) and the bracket from Pat Trap (assuming that is the type of machine you are using).

    This setup is the most consistant and brainless of them all.

    Go to EBAY and buy a Bushnell for under a $100; they work fine for our club so long as you follow Neal's guide to using the low powered guns (do a search).
