Can anyone give me any tips on how to adjust the amount of recoil on a RAD recoil system? Thanks.

Take the four set screws out holding the unit in the stock. On the end of the hydralic cylinder there is an adjusting knob. I think 5 is the middle. I will dig the directions out of my gun case and respond again. Dan

    Hello,
After setting up and installing hundreds of R.A.D. units I have found that the best settings for the reducer are the numbers 2 and 3 lined up with the hole on the cylinder. Number settings of 4 and up usually result in the reducer bottoming out and causing more recoil. If in doubt of your reducer bottoming out do the modeling clay test between the unit and see which setting works best for you. The trick is to not have the unit bottom out.

Is the Graco recoil reduction system easier to adjust than having to take the whole unit off the stock like the RAD? I understand that once you set the recoil adjustment on the RAD you would likely not be having to remove/change it, but how does the Graco system compare? Best Regards, Ed
